Describe something in your study/work that has made you feel confident
You should say:
When it happened
What it was
Why it made you feel confident
And explain how you felt about it
One experience that made me feel confident in my studies happened when I attended a workshop on public speaking last year. It was organized by my school, and the goal was to help students become better at speaking in front of an audience. I decided to join because I always felt nervous during class presentations and wanted to improve.
During the workshop, we learned different techniques for effective public speaking, like how to organize our thoughts, control our body language, and manage stage fright. We also got the chance to practice giving short speeches in front of the group, which was the part I was most anxious about. However, the instructor and other participants were very supportive, creating a positive and encouraging environment.
By the end of the workshop, I noticed a big improvement in my confidence. I realized that public speaking wasn’t as scary as I had imagined, especially when I knew how to prepare properly and stay calm. The practice sessions helped me see that I could communicate my ideas clearly if I just took my time and believed in myself.
This experience made me feel more confident, not only in public speaking but also in other areas of my studies. It gave me the courage to participate more actively in class and take on leadership roles in group projects. I felt proud of the progress I made, and it showed me that stepping out of my comfort zone can lead to great results.
