Describe an old friend you have lost touch with and got in touch with again
You should say:
Who he/she is
How you knew each other
Why you lost contact
How you got in contact again
I’d like to describe my old friend, An, whom I recently got back in touch with. An and I were really close during middle school. We met in the seventh grade when we were in the same literature class, and we quickly bonded over our love for reading books. We used to spend a lot of time after school discussing our favorite novels, sharing book recommendations, and even swapping books that we thought the other would like.
However, after middle school, we ended up going to different high schools. We both got busy with new classes, new friends, and different activities. At first, we tried to keep in touch, but over time, the messages and calls became less frequent. Eventually, we drifted apart and lost contact for a few years.
Recently, we got back in touch when I saw a post from An on social media about a book he was reading, one that we used to talk about back in the day. I decided to comment on the post, and he responded right away. We started chatting and catching up on each other’s lives, and soon we were talking about books again, just like old times.
After reconnecting with An, I felt really happy and nostalgic. It was nice to see that we still shared a passion for reading, and it felt like we picked up right where we left off. It reminded me of how much I had missed our conversations and how special our friendship was. Reconnecting with An made me appreciate those old memories even more, and it showed me the value of staying connected with friends, even after time apart.
