The given charts illustrate the reasons why adults opt to study and how the studying expenses should be shared.
Overall, interest in the major is the most popular factor affecting/influencing people’s educational choice while the opposite is true for socialization. Also, individuals should bear the highest proportion of academic expenditures.
According to the bar chart, 40% of adults choose to study due to interest in the subjects, whereas only 9% of them expect the opportunities to meet people. Moreover, the data for qualifications stands at 38%, which is higher than that for job mobility by 26%. The figures for helpfulness in current job, promotion prospects, and learning enjoyment are relatively similar, at around 20%.
Regarding the pie chart, respondents of the survey believe that 40% of the costs of each course should be paid by individuals. By contrast, the share of taxpayers is the lowest, at 25%, which is 10% lower than that of employers.
