Describe an experience on good service in a store | IELTS Speaking Part 2

One time I received excellent service was at a local bookstore last year. I was looking for a gift for my friend’s birthday, and I wasn’t sure what kind of book to buy. The bookstore was a cozy, well-organized place in my neighborhood, and it’s known for having helpful staff.

When I asked for help, one of the employees kindly took the time to ask about my friend’s interests and gave me some great recommendations based on what we discussed. She even suggested some popular book series and explained what each was about. After I picked a book, she offered to gift-wrap it, which was a nice touch.

I felt this was really good service because the staff member was genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect gift. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The extra effort made me feel valued as a customer, and it’s a big reason why I enjoy going back to that bookstore.
