Describe a person who always has strong opinions
You should say:
- Who this person is
- How you knew him/her
- Why you think he/she is an opinionated person
- And explain how you feel about him/her
There’s an elderly neighbor of mine, Mrs. [ …………], who is in her late 70s and has lived next to my family for over 15 years. She’s a familiar face in the neighborhood, and everyone knows her for her strong opinions and traditional values. I’ve known her since I was a child, as she often visited my parents, and I’ve spent time talking to her or helping with little tasks around her house.
Mrs. Nguyen has firm views about a lot of things, especially family roles, respecting elders, and how things should be done around the house and garden. She strongly believes in traditions and isn’t shy to share her thoughts, whether it’s about raising children or keeping customs alive. I’ve noticed that she often disapproves when younger people do things differently, like relying too much on technology or not following traditional practices. I think her strong opinions come from her many years of experience and living through different times, which has really shaped the way she sees the world.
As for how I feel about her, I actually admire her for being so confident in her beliefs. It’s inspiring to see how she stands by her values, especially when it comes to preserving traditions. Talking to her is also interesting because she shares stories and perspectives that help me understand what life was like when she was younger. However, sometimes her opinions can be a bit overwhelming, especially when she insists that her way is the only right way. Still, I appreciate that her views come from a place of care and experience, and overall, I respect the wisdom she brings to our neighborhood.
