Describe a challenge you faced that you thought was rather difficult
You should say:
What it was
When and where you faced it
Why you thought it was a difficult challenge
And explain how you felt at the time
One challenge I faced that I thought was difficult was taking part in a charitable running competition to raise money for children in need. This event took place last year in November at a big park in my city, where many people came together to support the cause. I had never run a long distance before, so preparing for it felt like a big challenge.
I found it difficult because I wasn’t used to running long distances, and the race needed both physical strength and mental focus. I trained for a few weeks before the event, slowly improving my performance. There were days when I felt really tired and wanted to give up, especially when my legs were sore from training. The pressure to do well to raise awareness also added to the difficulty.
At the time, I felt nervous but determined to keep going. The challenge was tough, but knowing I was running for a good cause kept me motivated. Completing the race gave me a strong sense of accomplishment, and it taught me that I could face difficult things with enough preparation and purpose. It was a tough experience, but it made me feel more confident in myself.
